Homemade food under one roof
Settle in for breakfast, lunch or something from the current restaurant menu, then browse the butcher, delicatessen and cheesemonger before you leave. We make our food in-house, including sourdough, pies, Yorkshire puddings and artisan cheeses, so there is plenty to enjoy at the table or take home.
Our 58-seat food hall in Allerton Bywater opens seven days a week. Walk in for general dining, or book ahead for Sunday lunch and our monthly Friday tapas night.

It is hard to believe this place hasn't appeared on the radar sooner, as it is effectively hiding in plain sight. The setup is unique—like a tiny row of shops all under one roof—and it offers a fantastic eat-in experience that feels cool and surprisingly spacious.
The food is excellent, with the steak from the specials board being a particular standout. It’s the kind of high-quality, local cooking that makes you wonder how you ever missed it. The venue is clean, well-decorated, and has enough seating to accommodate plenty of people without feeling cramped. For a a person looking for something beyond the usual high street options, this is a trip worth making. It is a brilliant find and a real credit to the Castleford area.

When you're gathering people together, we can prepare homemade food to suit the occasion. Our outside catering covers weddings, workplace events, funerals, christenings, afternoon teas and other get-togethers. Tell us the date, venue, guest number, timing and dietary needs so we can discuss suitable food and quantities. From afternoon tea for around 10 to event catering for around 70 guests, we'll shape the details around your plans.
